Curtiss's interest in photography began with film and the darkroom and grew into the digital age. His images show his fine eye for composition, lighting and the beauty in subjects that we 'see' every day. Drawn to Central Oregon since 1985, Curtiss is now a full-time resident of Black Butte Ranch in Central Oregon. Many of his images are of Central Oregon, Sisters Country and Black Butte Ranch.

Curtiss studies photography in workshops and online classes: notably with Alain Briot, Joe McNally, Moose Peterson and Ken Whitmire. He enjoys mentoring and collaborating with local photographers.

Curtiss's images grace the walls of many Pacific Northwest homes and are frequently displayed in local exhibits and galleries.

His images are available locally at Sisters Gallery & Frame Shop, at the Glaze Meadow Spa Shop and Lakeview Bistro at Black Butte Ranch, and in custom sizes and specifications directly from Curtiss.
